Bill Gassett has been in the real estate business for 30 years. Currently, he is serving RE/MAX Executive Realty in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. Bill’s core website is Max Real Estate Exposure and then he operates another one called Mass Real Estate News, which he uses as part of his overall blogging strategy.

He also uses ActiveRain and he intends to grow his community. He grows his community by sharing his learning experiences. On a personal note, I’ am a die heart follower of him for the past ten years. I am highly inspired by the quality and consistency of his blogging content.

Below I’ll find Bill Gassett blogging tips that will be helpful in starting my journey to create a seasoned real estate article.

4 Blogging Tips on Creating and Writing a Real Estate Blog

1.Use Guest Blog Posts

Bill’s core website, MaxRealEstateExposure.com, is the hub of his business. Furthermore, he has lots of real estates blog articles. He also has an MLS feed (aka IDX) that comes into the site. He uses his other website, Mass Real Estate New, to drive organic traffic to his main hub as well as a place to do ‘guest blogging.’

Every month he posts the tops of Google Plus’ where he picks the best articles that are found in Google Plus. He has one host who picks the great articles he finds the greatest of that month. Gassett also asks people to write a guest blog post for him, so he’ll specifically use that News site to host guest blogs.

Guest blogging is a genius idea because the person who blogs on his site is going to get a lot of recognition online and in return, the guest real estate blogger is going to promote Gassett’s website EVERYWHERE.So it’s a win-win for both.

2.My Voice Should Be Prominent When Creating a Real Estate Blog

One of the things that I like about Gassett and is really inspiring is to develop my own voice. I mean, I should mean what I say and I say what should I mean.

When people come to my blog, they’ve come to expect what I’m going to say. They perceive me as a trusted source for information and advice. Bill has grabbed a very strong position over the years because the world appreciates his honesty and ability to show the reader both sides of the story. When I read his articles it doesn’t feel like I’m pressured to “Buy NOW!” or “Sell ASAP.”

Note down the watchword for today is my readers’ loyalty. If I’m able to win their confidence and I’m successful in positioning myself as a trustworthy source, my readers will not go anywhere else.

3.My Blogs Should Create Social Media Interaction

Much of Gassett’s interactions on social media are a result of his real estate blogs. He surely loves being able to create those relationships. It can provide me a leg up on a listing appointment when the seller is interviewing thousands of real estate agents.

Or, if a home purchaser isn’t getting the service and help they require from their existing agent and they find my incredibly informative real estate blog, they may want to reach out to me for suggestions and/or representation.

4.Use Images that POP in my Blog

Now, this is something Bill should be called a perfectionist for. This is also merely the best part of his blogging, by far. He informs us that he can hardly wait to get to present the graphics. He finds this to be the entertaining part of being a real estate blogger.

Images can really help narrate your story and motivate people to read your blog post. Mr. Gassett thinks that images make or breaks a blog post.

“Words are words, but putting that graphic together breaks everything up, keeps people’s attention. It’s vital.”

What does Gassett’s suggests to new real esate bloggers?

For someone that’s just starting out, he recommends jotting down on things that the writer is really comfortable about. Maybe it’s something that’s happening to me along the way in my business and I feel like I can put my passion out there. For me, it’s probably the easiest way to get into blogging, is to just talk about things that I’m comfortable talking about. And try to be as detailed as you can. Think from the reader’s point of view and try to assist them as much you can.
