How to Get Your Real Estate License in Illinois
Getting a real estate license in Illinois requires students to take a few steps before they can be allowed to perform licensed activities. In Illinois, the word broker and agent is used interchangeably, and sometimes even the word realtor is used in the same sense.
Illinois Real Estate License Requirements
To become a real estate agent in Illinois, there are education, exam and character requirements. We will explain each of these in turn here.
Courses Required for a new broker license
Our students need to attend an Illinois real estate school and complete 75 hours of required education. IBA is an approved real estate school by IDFPR to grant you completion certificates for the 75 hours of education.

Passing the Illinois real estate exam
After completing the 75 hours of education courses, students sit for the official state exam.
Applying for the Illinois real estate broker license
When you have passed the official Illinois exam, you have to apply for a license. But before doing that, you will have to find a sponsoring broker.

Armed with your real estate broker license, you are ready to assist buyers and sellers, landlords and tenants, and investors in realizing their objectives.
