3 SMART SMALL HOUSE STRATEGIES TO MAXIMIZE HOUSE SPACE

I asked you all about your strategies for living in small spaces and I came through with some great ones. If you have another one to add, let me know in the comments section below.

1.)  Opening up my entryway:

The first area of my place that welcomes guests and sees my family off safely to school each day should be functional and have an area to maneuver instantly and efficiently. I’ll make more space by placing a small bench or sitting area to remove shoes and keep kids’ backpacks when rushing off to school.

Don’t have space for a bench? So, I’ll ensure to have wall-mounted hooks, open shelves to place knick-knacks and keep a large mirror on the wall to reflect the rest of my home.

2.)  Make my kitchen easy to cook in:

The kitchen is the busiest room of my entire home. It must be functional, attractive, and be enjoyable to make fancy meals, make snacks, and prep for entertaining guests. I will suggest you make more space with vertical storage shelving in my pantry. Use drawer organizers for dry goods and food storage containers. I will discard old food, half-eaten dry edible items, fix overhead pot and pan to free up space below my counters.

3.)  Bathroom essentials:

The room I wake up first in the early morning and see late at night often has the creepiest storage. My bathroom can be maximized by assessing who uses it and for what. If you are using shared bathrooms with children, you can utilize them by placing open shelves and baskets under the sink. A shoe organizer is a life-saving space saver that keeps makeup, jewelry, and even accessories such as belts and scarves.

Have I ever realized my living room and family room get the messiest without even trying? These rooms get the most traffic from pals coming over, watching t.v shows and I’m sprawling out on the sofa to watch my favorite game. I’ll try to maximize space with multifunctional furniture such as ottomans that has video game accessories and coffee tables that have drawers and open shelves below. You will surely love having hidden space when your busiest rooms are filled with people.
