In real estate — or any industry you want to work in, there are various advantages of working wiser, rather than harder. Not only will working wiser enable me to have a more successful career, but also I’ll be able to enjoy a more fulfilling life. But how exactly to work wiser?

ASK FOR ASSISTANCE

So much of our day, as brokers, we try to manage everything by all ourselves. The day becomes shorter and our daily tasks never get complete. We all know that’s it is not physically possible to manage everything on our own yet we find it hard in lowering down our ego to ask for assistance.

I need to spend at least 80% of my day doing what I do best. For me, that’s actual real estate sales. One of my greatest strengths is sales or listing appointments, which is honestly a lot of brokers’ forte mine included. However, the documentation, entering listings, and all that type C business, are not my cup of tea. There comes a point in every career where you reach the ceiling and you can either opt to get some assistance to push right on through to enhance your career or you become so inundated that your career spirals downward. The key is accomplishing any success level is the motivation behind it.

Every broker desire to keep all control with him, especially the control freaks. But to be a successful realtor, I have to. To get to where I want to be, I have to divvy by the reigns.

For example, let’s do the comparison of a doctor’s office. Do you want your doctor to handle billing, answer the phone calls, sign people in, and prep for your consultation whilst? Of course not, you want him to concentrate just on you, the patient, and do what he does best which is consulting the patient. So why treat the real estate industry differently?

Most brokers get into this business because they adore assisting people in fulfilling their dreams. They’re great at sales and mastered in building long-lasting relationships. Why is so essential to have my hand in every aspect of my business instead of hiring someone to do that for me so I can focus on what I do best? Real estate isn’t tough, it’s actually pretty easy. I simply have to go out and do it.
